In Jinja Backpackers I met a dude who told me about his charity work, bringing crafts to displaced and disenfranchised populations. He asked me to come with him to Kisima island and teach Leathercraft and Lichtenberg figures to an island of fisherfolk whose fish populations have been decimated by overfishing. I did my best, using him as a translator to deliver the basics and safety measures. They seem to have picked it up, and one day I'l pop back there to see what came of it.
