The Nitty Gritty Nomads

- sorry about all the gamer lingo, I've written this after binging tierzoo{link} and towards the end of the epic dungeon master control board{link} project.- this story is part of "Fractal Worthy"{link} people who deserved to get their own artwork, a little piece of infinity{link}. Travelling Africa, I've had the privilege of meeting tons of top-tier travelers, but by far, the most fun I've had (and the longest time without getting sick of each other) was with the nomads. this pack of adventurers took to the road on their monstrous bikes, travelling from South Africa, through Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Rwanda, Uganda (where we've met), onwards to Kenya and Ethiopia and back down south through the east coast and probably Wakanda because why the F not. They were so blatantly awesome that when we met I've already left Jinja after completing my works at Jinja Backpackers{link}, and continued west to Kampala. after two days with them, I decided to return east to Jinja with them to celebrate new years eve with them. Their coolnes by deed is only vamped by their basic stats. Trent, the leader (Afrikaner clan, Warrior-Scholar, rouge archaeologist, chaotic neutral), is a mensch brimming with knowledge, capable of traversing any topic of conversation with beautiful, realistic insights, and bullshit with confidence to fill the gaps. In him I found a companion for campfire philosophizing, and it is my fondest wish that he'll actually come over for a visit in Israel. since coming back, every time i see something worth seeing here, I have an imaginary conversation with him about it as if he's by my side. His substantially better half, Istene (Afrikaner clan, Elf, maverick pilot - cecna class, and all-round spirit warrior - chaotic good). Since she upgraded her bike to a jeep somewhere along the road, I've spent the most time with her, kicking her ass in animal guessing games. I probably opened up to her more honestly then to most people ever. I think it's due to one of her special abilities, her amazing charisma base stats and a +3 power-up of non-judgmental earth magic. Hanging out with her, I started smiling with my teeth exposed. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but I've always been super self conscious about my teeth, having had braces since the 8th grade up to my second year in the army. So I adopted a roguish, pseudo-sexy smirk instead of my natural smile. To this venture joined Tom (Bard-storyteller, animal-friend magic, wielder of the dragon spear, chaotic neutral), a jack of all trades type if I've ever met one. this border collie spirited, fire wielding, neon green mankini wearing, bushy red beard sporting, Ausie abomination aspires to be a vet. With a happy-go-lucky personality, tom goes skipitty-hopitty-crashitty into injuries, venomous spiders and leaves scorched earth in his wake wherever he goes. It was epic to be affected by his presence and I'm thrilled to see what a beautiful, well intended train wreck of a dumpster fire will emerge out of him as he matures. Michael. maker (rock-gnome, blacksmith - machinist class). It's really hard to pinpoint his alignment. chaotic for sure, they all are, but good/neutral/evil... mike's just not that simple. He is a solid, stand-up and trustworthy guy who'll set you on fire if he thinks it's funny. I think he's all of them, but arbitrarily. His inner world is vast, and usually you only get to see glimpses. If i remember the story correctly, Trent, Istene and Tom stopped at his smithy in south Africa to pimp their steeds for the long road, and mike asked them what their plans are. they said they're gonna travel the entire continent on bikes, looking for food and adventure , so he (arbitrarily) said ok, let's go. It is a dream of mine to go back to south Africa, show up at his smithy out of nowhere and to craft together, side by side.
